Arsenal Opens St. Petersburg's First State IT Lyceum
On September 1, the city’s first public IT Lyceum, created by the development company Arsenal together with ITMO University, opened in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg.
The school is located at 52 Aviakonstruktorov Avenue, Building 1. The building has a total area of 24,700 square meters and ranges from three to five storeys. The lyceum is designed for 1,100 students and admits children from Grade 1.
The curriculum focuses primarily on technology. Students will be able to study computer science, robotics, programming, 3D modeling, neural networks, virtual reality, and unmanned systems control.
To support these subjects, the school has modern facilities: a FabLab workshop, engineering classrooms, robotics and physics-and-chemistry laboratories, five computer science classrooms, and a dedicated robotics room. The classrooms are equipped with interactive panels, collaborative whiteboards, and production equipment.
The building was constructed to the “St. Petersburg Standard” and includes an assembly hall, a library with a coworking space, a cafeteria, a football field, sports grounds, and two swimming pools.
The IT Lyceum has been transferred to the state and operates as a public educational institution.
The project was developed with the participation of ITMO University, which served as an expert on the technical equipment of the laboratories and organized professional development for the teaching staff.
The IT Lyceum is part of Arsenal’s strategy to create an integrated urban environment that combines residential neighborhoods with social infrastructure. The school is located next to the Modum and Ariosto residential complexes, making it easily accessible for local residents.
